GASHUUNSUKHAIT TRANSSHIPING TERMINAL
The transshipment terminal is a 24-hour one-stop facility that is able to transship containerized cargo from railway to trucks, railway to railway and will have on-site storage, documentation, and settlement services related to export transportation.
The terminal is planned to be developed in two stages on a total area of 74 hectares, and the first stage will be commissioned in July 2022. The entire terminal area will be declared as a customs control zone and will meet the requirements of the control zone. The main area, the loading and unloading area, the customs inspection area, will have the capacity to stop 1600 loaded trucks and 400 trucks with containers at the same time.
Phase 2, the construction of the second container site, is planned to begin in 2024 and become operational in 2025. The total capacity of the two sites is 25 million tons per year. With a capacity of 5600 TEU containers, which will add 118 jobs and create a total of 285 permanent jobs.
