In 2018, "Tavantolgoi Railway" LLC organized a meeting with China's CMEC and CRCC on Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsuhait railway project, and established the first foreign relations to cooperate in investment and project implementation.

         On August 8, 2022, Mongolia and China signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the Gashuunsuhait-Gantsmod Port and Cross-Border Railway. Under the Memorandum, "Erdenes Tavantolgoi" JSC, "Tavantolgoi Railway" LLC and "China Energy International" LLC of the People's Republic of China signed the "General Agreement on Sale and Purchase of Gashuunsuhait-Gantsmod Port Railway and Coal". In addition, in order to intensify the construction of the cross-border railway of Gashuunsukhait-Gantsmod port, we have so far cooperated with the above-mentioned companies on the Chinese side.
